Total Permanent Disability Claims - How It Works?

  Under workers' compensation laws, Permanent Total Disability ("PTD") is awarded when due to an occupational injury or disease, an employee is not anymore able to work in any job for which he or she are suited by education, training, or experience. In order to qualify for PTD award, the injured employee should prove that he or she is not able to come back to work in any capacity and that his or her injury is a permanent condition. To qualify for a PTD award, the injured worker should receive a disability rating of 100% from an examining doctor for their injury.
